Caroline Rosander-Rumminger

Caroline Rose Rosander-Rumminger (née Lewton), age 76, of Murrieta, CA, passed away peacefully in her home on March 22, 2026. She was born April 26, 1949 in Hettinger, ND to John M. and Dorothy Nora Lewton (née Dippert).

Caroline graduated from Bison High School, and later graduated from Black Hills State University.

She married her first husband Jon Rosander on August 30, 1969, and later married Eugene Rumminger on December 27, 1987.

She enjoyed shopping, traveling, dancing, playing board games (often shouting answers out of turn), entertaining friends and family, and fishing.

Caroline is survived by her husband Eugene; children from first marriage to Jon Rosander: favorite firstborn son Justin, Clinton and Brandi; stepchildren David, Gina and Sandra; grandchildren Kieran, Gavin, Patrick, and Charlotte; siblings, John Allen, Maurice, Dennis, and Cecil Lewton, David Gano, and Cleo Wilbur.

Preceding her in death were her parents John and Dorothy Lewton; first husband Jon Rosander; stepson Kevin “Buck” Rumminger; siblings, Richard, Milton and Terrance Lewton, Monte Gano, and Margaret Frye.
